Snow Ice Cream
My girls look forward to this special Winter treat every snow fall.
Snow Ice Cream Recipe
- Fresh fallen snow
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Optional additions- vanilla extract and/or sprinkles
To make this more fun you can have kids set out a bowl to catch the snow and then use that to make your ice cream. You can also just head outside and scoop fresh snow after it has fallen. Slowly pour condensed milk over the snow and stir. Add more until the desired sweetness is reached. That's it! This ice cream is so simple to make and tastes so yummy!
I usually top ours with sprinkles or colored sugar because Rosie and Jewel love glitter and sparkle. Some people like to add additional vanilla flavoring by using a few drops of vanilla extract in their recipe. I personally think the sweetened condensed milk by itself gives the ice cream the perfect flavor. Why not try both ways and see what you like best?
While I always mix freely until I am happy with the flavor, here are the measurements that are most commonly used when making snow ice cream.
