Bubblegum Slime Recipe
This slime looks, feels, smells, and acts just like real bubble gum! How cool is that? My kids seriously could not stop playing with this stuff! They were finally able to blow the huge bubbles they have always wanted to. The whole room smelled like a bubble gum shop while they were playing, too!
Are you ready to make your own?
I would recommend doing this activity with children who are out of the mouthing stage, as this slime is NOT edible.
Materials
- I cup of white school glue (two standard size bottles)
- 3-8 oz of liquid starch (added slowly)
- Bubble gum flavoring
- Pink neon food coloring
Neon food coloring can be found in the baking aisle or here.
Liquid starch can be found in the laundry aisle of most stores or online here.
Method
- In a bowl combine the glue with a few drops of the bubble gum flavoring and several drops of neon pink food coloring & mix well
- SLOWLY add liquid starch in small amounts & mix well. Slowly add more liquid starch and mix until the desired consistency is reached. The amount of starch needed varies slightly each time we make slime, I think due to a variance in other ingredients. For this particular slime I used 3 oz of liquid starch to 8 oz of glue, and that gave me the perfect consistency
- Just be sure to add the starch SLOWLY in small increments and mix well in-between. If the slime is at all sticky add a little more starch. After a bit of mixing you will have the most glorious & FUN bubblegum slime
Bubblegum slime is SO COOL! It is Ooey and gooey like any good slime but also looks, feels, smells, and acts just like bubblegum!
Give kids a straw, and they will have a blast blowing insanely huge bublegum SLIME bubbles!
The bubbles this slime makes are the coolest!
My girls had a blast stretching and pulling and twisting the slime. They loved watching it OOZE! They loved blowing huge bubbles and then popping them! They played & played and can not wait to play with their bubblegum slime again tomorrow! This stuff really is so fun! You must give it a try!
