Ice Sculptures in the Snow
with Ice Blocks
We were inspired to build with ice blocks in the snow after seeing the fun The Artful Parent had with a similar activity. If you are not familiar with The Artful Parent you should definitely hop over and check out all the amazing activities for kids she has shared.
Set up for this activity was easy. All I did was fill ice trays and muffin tins with water and a few drops of food coloring. Then I popped them in the freezer. The next day we had colorful ice blocks for the girls to build sculptures with in the snow!
Rosie and Jewel had lots of fun building, stacking, and creating
The best part about these ice blocks is that they last for days and even weeks as long as it is cold enough outside. Rosie and Jewel have had a blast playing with their blocks all week long, and they are still outside living in the snow.
