Here is a super simple paint recipe that is sure to delight little fans of Disney's Frozen. This paint takes seconds to make and is icy cold and beautifully sparkly.Frozen Paint Recipe
These icy paints are great for painting on paper, for using as a finger paint, and they also make a fantastic bath paint. We used this batch in the bath. The paints are delightfully fluffy, ultra squishy, and icy cold, making them perfect for the Frozen movie theme.
Materials (affiliate links provided)
- Iced shaving cream
- Neon blue food coloring
- Blue and iridescent glitter
- A spoon or stirrer
- A muffin tin or bowls
Method
- Begin by placing the shaving cream in the refrigerator for a few hours. We stored ours in the fridge overnight so that it would be icy cold and ready for play the next day. Fill a muffin tin (or bowls) with the chilled shaving foam
- I left two of our filled muffin slots white to make chilled snow paint, and I colored two with neon blue food coloring. You only need one or two drops of food coloring to get the perfect Frozen blue color
- Stir the coloring into the paint well. I decided to make the last two paints marbled. To do this I just added a touch of blue paint into the last two muffin slots and gently swirled the colors. Top the paints with glitter if desired. Rosie and Jewel were happy to help with this part, and as usual they added a lot of glitter
Aren't the paints beautiful? This simple paint recipe tickled my girls and made for lots of fun at bath time. The girls loved making Frozen art on the walls, and once playtime was over all the mess washed right down the drain. The paints had the most glorious fluffy and icy texture, making them lots of fun for tiny fingers; Rosie and Jewel barely used brushes. This simple paint recipe is also lots of fun out of the bath of course.
