I am sharing two recipes below in hopes that you can make rose play dough using what you have on hand or following whichever method is easier for you.  Both methods make an amazing play dough.

Rose Scented Play Dough Recipe #1 (affiliate links provided)
Combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a bowl.  In a separate bowl combine the oil and water along with a few drops of rose oil.  Add several drops of red food coloring or watercolors to the water mixture if color is desired.  Once both bowls are mixed combine both bowls and mix well.  Continue to mix until the dough begins to form.  Then remove the dough from the bowl and knead it with your hands for several minutes.  The kneading helps the dough reach the perfect consistency so don't skip this step.  If the dough is at all sticky or watery just add a touch more flour and mix it into the dough.  After a few minutes of kneading you will have the perfect play dough

This is how we made our rose play dough this time, and Rosie and Jewel have had lots of fun playing and exploring.

Add heart cutters, gems, pipe cleaners, and beads to extend the fun and give kids more ways to play.  Using the pipe cleaners to make roses is especially fun.
