Party Poppers

I whipped up this easy to make toy for Rosie and Jewel as a fun way for them to bring in the new year, and they have been having so much fun!  Party poppers would be great fun for birthdays and other party celebrations, too!

Party Poppers Materials
  • Disposable cups
  • Large party balloons
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Confetti
You will need one cup for each party popper you wish to make.  I made two, one for each of my girls.  Cut the bottom off of each party cup.  Then cut the top off of the balloons and stretch them over the cup bottoms.  Secure the balloons to the cups with glue.  Allow the glue to dry and then it is time to PLAY!

Place confetti inside the cups and then have kids pull back on the balloon to launch the confetti high into the air

Party poppers- how fun!

Such simple fun!  Rosie and Jewel have had a blast.  Once they launched all the confetti we had on hand they delighted in hunting for the confetti to send it flying over and over again!

All of the materials needed to make these can be found at the dollar store or Walmart.  Whenever you are having a party you most likely have this stuff on hand anyway though.  Whatever you might be celebrating, I hope these bring a bit more joy to the party!
