Gingerbread Cloud Dough Recipe

Here is another fun way to play with gingerbread this holiday.  This gingerbread cloud dough is easy to make and lots of fun!

Gingerbread Cloud Dough Recipe (affiliate links provided)

• 8 cups of flour
• 1 cup of vegetable oil
• 3 tbsp of cinnamon
• 2 tsp of ginger and nutmeg spice
• Optional addition- brown powdered paint

Mix the above ingredients in a sensory bin or similar container.  You can add more or less of the above spices to get the scent you prefer.  I do recommend using much more cinnamon than the other spices though.  I added lots of extra cinnamon to give us a rich color, but you could also use brown powdered paint if you have it.

Add buttons and cookie cutters and the fun can start

A few tips:  Cloud dough is so fun, but it is a bit messy.  I always lay down a blanket for the girls to play on, and this really helps contain the mess.  Add scoopers and pourers to extend the fun.  Another fun extension is to give kids kitchen gadgets, plates, and bowls, and let them open up their own gingerbread shop.
