Goop is such a fun sensory material and one that is perfect for us right now because it is safe for kids of all ages. You only need two ingredients to make this play recipe, too!
GOOP Recipe
- 16 oz of corn starch
- 1 cup of water
- Food coloring (optional)
Pour the corn starch into a storage bin or container. Slowly add the water and mix until the desired consistency is reached. You can add more or less water to explore with varying consistencies. Goop is fun with more or less water, but our favorite consistency is reached with one box of corn starch & one cup of water.
You can add food coloring before mixing or add it after to get a marbleized effect
For all the best kid activities
GOOP is an amazingly fun substance that acts as both a liquid and a solid interchangeably. If you handle it quickly, it appears solid. You can pick it up and even form a ball, but if you handle it slowly the goop turns to a liquid. Let me just tell you, this stuff is SO fun!
Rosie loves exploring everything with her feet! She loved the way the goop felt between her toes. It made her giggle uncontrollably! Rosie and Jewel had so much fun exploring with goop together. This will definitely be an activity we return to often. Not only did the girls love it, but I also can't wait to get my hands back in some goop! It is fantastic fun!
